See the updated post for TET 2017 update HERE.
Well here we are in the YEAR OF THE GOAT. Tet has come and gone for another year and Ho Chi Minh City is fast returning to its usual chaotic self. I discussed what to do to get the most out of your visit to Saigon during TET in a previous post. I hope it helped some of those who came during that time to enjoy this very special time of the year. Let me know in the comments below if you think there was more information I should have added.
Even though we weren’t here for the whole time, we were still able to join in some of the spectacle before and just after Lunar New Years Eve. Flower Street was held in Ham Nghi Street this year, instead of it’s usual location in Nguyen Hue, but the displays were no less spectacular. Is there anything more elegant than a beautiful Vietnamese woman in a traditional Ao Dai? The local girls (and guys) were a sight to behold having their TET pictures taken. District 5 didn’t disappoint either, with specialty shops decked out in traditional TET decorations.
Here’s just a few of the pics of our TET 2015 in Saigon. Click on a picture below to access the slide show.
Hope you enjoy.
